In its annual conference, the Africa HepatoPancreatoBiliary Cancer Consortium (AHPBCC)—a program within the Africa Institute for Liver and Digestive Diseases (AILDD)— will bring together clinicians, researchers, and advocates across Africa to confront the rising burden of liver, pancreas, and biliary cancers. This year’s focus is on Collaborating to Improve HPB Cancer Control in Africa: Prevention, Treatment, Research and Survivorship.
This premier gathering continues to build a dynamic, multi-generational network advancing research, clinical care, and education tailored to African contexts.
Partnership with Nigerian Societies
This year’s conference is hosted in partnership with Nigerian professional societies and local leadership, including Prof. Abidemi Omonisi, President of the Nigerian Cancer Society; Prof. Abdulfatai Olokoba, President of the Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria (SOGHIN); and Prof. Abubakar Bello, President of the Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncology of Nigeria (ARCON).
